A sacred legacy of four generations
Guruji Himanshu Mamgain is not a tantrik by profession alone — tantra, mantra and upasana have been the way of life in his family for four generations. What began with an elder ancestor on his nanihal side was carried forward by the renowned Pt. Dakshin Datta Dhoundiyal, then by Guruji's father Pt. Devi Prasad Mamgain — both deeply respected names across Uttarakhand.
Guruji learned the complete tantrik kala — every vidhi of raksha puja, badha nivaran, mantra-jaap, Kaal Bhairav, Hanuman, Narsingh and Devi upasana — directly from his father, in the traditional guru-shishya way.
Tapasya at Nandprayag Ghat
Guruji lives in Nandprayag in Chamoli district, one of the holy Panch Prayag where the Alaknanda and Nandakini rivers meet. He completed his tapasya and sadhana at the Nandprayag ghat, and the energy of this sacred sangam remains the root of his practice.
Serving from Nandprayag and Dehradun
Guruji also has a home at Krishna Vihar, Mokhampur, Dehradun, and travels regularly between Nandprayag and Dehradun.
